4 Signs That It’s Time to Replace Your Commercial Roof

Standing Water

If you have standing water on your roof that is still there 2 days after rainfall, it may be time to replace your roof. Standing water can void your current warranty and greatly reduce the lifespan of your roofing system.

Increased Entergy Bills

As commercial roofing surfaces age, gaps can cause air to escape from your building. In turn, this will cause a strain on your HVAC units. If you notice that your HVAC unit is constantly running, it may be time to replace your roofing system.

Damaged Flashing

The metal flashing that runs along the edges of your commercial roof is not just there for decoration. It is a part of your roofing system, and is designed to prevent water from getting under the roofing membrane. If this flashing is damaged, replacing it should be a priority.

Frequent Leaks

If you are beginning to notice frequent leaks in your building, it may be time to replace your roof. Sometimes a leak can be caused from an issue with an HVAC unit, however if your frequent leaks are caused by damage to your roofing system, it’s time to consider replacing your roof.
